Champ is built to help you stay smoke-free — not to harvest your data. This policy explains plainly what we collect, why, and how. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@champhq.co.

1. Who We Are

Champ ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application designed to help people stay smoke-free after quitting. Our website is champhq.co. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at champhqapp@gmail.com.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to run the app: • Email address — collected when you create an account, via our authentication provider Clerk. Used solely to identify your account and enable sign-in. • Usage analytics — screen views, button taps, and feature interactions, collected via PostHog. This data is anonymised and used only to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. • Quit date, streak, savings, name, and motivation text — entered by you inside the app. This data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

3. Why We Collect It

• Email address: to create and manage your account, and to allow you to sign in across devices. • Analytics: to identify which features are useful, where users drop off, and how to make Champ better. We do not use analytics data for advertising or sell it to any third party. We do not collect your name, location, phone number, health records, or any sensitive personal information.

4. How Your Data Is Stored

• Email address: processed and stored by Clerk on their secure servers. See Clerk's privacy policy at clerk.com/legal/privacy. • Analytics data: processed and stored by PostHog on their secure servers. See PostHog's privacy policy at posthog.com/privacy. • All other data (streak, quit date, savings, name, motivation): stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded, synced, or transmitted. It is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app.

5. Third Parties We Share Data With

We share data with the following sub-processors only: • Clerk (clerk.com) — authentication and account management • PostHog (posthog.com) — product analytics We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data (email) for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@champhq.co with the subject line "Delete my account". We will process your request within 30 days. Local app data (streak, savings, etc.) is deleted automatically when you uninstall the app.

7. Children

Champ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at hello@champhq.co and we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@champhq.co. We will respond within 30 days.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
